Contra-Indications of Sound Healing
Below is a list of contra-indications of sound healing with crystal singing bowls.
Pregnancy. Sound travels 10 times faster in water than it does in air, so if you have a little growing baby in your belly, or a full bladder, it will move around a little.
Epilepsy. Some rare forms of epilepsy may be triggered by sound. If you have been diagnosed with epilepsy please check with your doctor whether a sound healing session is safe for you.
Severe or Clinical Mental Health Problems. Please check with your doctor or mental health professional that a sound healing session is safe for you.
Implants or plates in the body (metal plates, pins, ball joints in particular). Sound travels 17 times faster in metal than it does in air, so if you have a metal plate in your hip, or gums, or any part of your body, it might move and twitch a little, and that might feel uncomfortable.
Electric devices in the body (pacemaker, insulin pumps, prostheses, cochlear implants, drug delivery pumps, spinal cord stimulation, and deep brain stimulation etc). Please check with your doctor that a sound healing session will be safe for you.
If you’re unsure about health conditions, please consult and gain permission from your doctor before progressing with your sound healing booking.
