Contra-Indications of Breathwork

Breathwork is an incredibly powerful modality that creates both physiological and energetic shifts, RAPIDLY. If you have any of the following contraindications, please do not practice circular, cyclical, Wim Hof, Holotropic or Trauma Technique breathing. Do not hold your breath for sustained periods.

Please get in touch with me to discuss how we can customize the practice for you.

In the meantime, you can practice relaxation breathing. Inhale-4 and Exhale-4, or Inhale-2 and Exhale-4 through the nose.

Please be advised:

1. Do not practice breathwork in water without supervision or a “sitter”. The only reported deaths pertaining to breathwork have been because practitioners ignored this warning.

2. Do not stand or sit up abruptly during breathwork without a sitter.

3. Do not drive, swim or operate machinery twenty minutes after breathwork. This is to prevent harm in the event of hypoxia, or spontaneous blackout.
